This 3 day safari trip will take you to Samburu National Reserve to enjoy a memorable safari experience in Kenya.
Samburu has a wide variety of animal and bird life seen at Samburu National Reserve. Several large game species common to Kenya’s northern plains can be found in abundance here, including the following dry-country fauna: gerenuk, Grevy’s zebra, oryx and reticulated giraffe.

All three big cats, lion, cheetah and leopard, can also be found here, as well as elephants, buffalo and hippos. Other mammals frequently seen in the park include olive baboon, warthogs, Grant’s gazelle, Kirk’s dik.
Samburu National Reserve is one of the 56 protected areas in Kenya.

It is famous North of the equator because of the richness of flora and fauna; it can be reached through Nairobi-Isiolo-Marsabit road and Maralal-Wamba-Isolo road. Lying on the flood plains and bottom land of Waso Nyiro drainage system in the Great Rift Valley.

Day 1: Nairobi – Samburu

After breakfast you will be picked from your hotel at approx 0730 hrs. Depart to Samburu by passing the majestic Mt. Kenya en route to the open Savannah of Samburu game reserve.Lunches would be taken en route, proceed with the journey to arrive Samburu in the late afternoon. Here we find of palms and woodland by the Ewaso Nyiro River which provides water for the animals and some relief from the equatorial sun. Evening afternoon game drives followed
by dinner and overnight stay at Samburu

Day 2 : Full Day Game Drive – Samburu

Full day at Samburu with morning and afternoon game drives.The highlights of Samburu game reserve is the spectacular scenic beauty, rivers and forests. It is an area where the local people have a rich and colorful heritage. The reserves have numerous permanent springs and a wealth of wildlife which includes leopard, hippo, elephant, lion, reticulated giraffe, gravy’s zebra and
crocodile in the Ewaso Nyiro River.

Over 365 species of birds have been identified in the sanctuaries.

Day 3: Samburu – Nairobi

After breakfast, check out from the camp. Drive through the park (Buffalo Spring National Reserve) on the way out. Head back to Nairobi where Safari ends.
